I am more than 10 years older than 39 and Lived in California for most of my life. I went to College and studied Psychology (undergrad), in the Boston area and in the Monterey, CA area. I was a regular weekender at Esalen Institute, in Big Sur, where pop people gave weekend seminars about everything from Dream Therapy to Bio-feedback to Primal Scream to Touch Therapy to Eric Berne, Jungian seminars, Freudian seminars to Rashnish. ( a whole lot of whoey for See, Touch, Feel, Hear, Smell, Sex and Speak Encounters, All in the name of Therapy) It was fun if nothing else. Then I Graduated with an MSW (Social Work) and was a practicing Therapist in the Fresno, Monterey and Napa, Sonoma areas. This part got very intense when I worked with suicidal teens and some of them didn't make it. These years of working with serious self-destructive teens had its affect on me. So I decided to unfold to a simpler lifestyle and worked with wood. A very pleasant art form that does not hurt your heart. I was involved in many strange-to-some projects that included building a house with no walls in Hawaii, studying ancient French Building techniques (Rammed Earth) near Lyon and building these sort of structures in Santa Cruz and in Mendocino County, CA. I have also done old adobe construction for the California Mission System and a friend in New Mexico and old Mexico. History fascinates me and I am currently in an online PhD program which seems much too easy. I have been able to travel extensively when I was young in a very Bohemian fashion hitting all the Continents except Antarctica; I have done some great trips even in my old age to Europe and South America, (see travelchums.com for some great opportunities) not counting the constant traveling I do with my current job. I'm.....well, me. I dislike fake people. I hang out a lot with my inner circle, we have the greatest time on earth. I'm a huge 311 and Harry Potter fan, yeah, I know, those two go together. I drink and smoke, deadly combination. I need to quit one of them, but which one? I'm just indifferent on the whole subject, we'll all die eventually, right? So shouldn't I just be able to choose to do the things I want and f*** all the rest.

Actually, I'm quite reserved and tend not to talk much. It is always more entertaining to listen and watch; the shit people come up with nowadays. People watching is one of the more entertaining aspects of life. To watch is to learn. To watch is to believe in others.

I'm pretty much set in with what I want to do with the rest of my life, I hope. It's a good idea, there's never any worry on what should I do next. I'm on the adult train and there's no track switch ahead, life's too short to just not grow up.

I'm a full-time student at the University of New Orleans and work full-time as a lead book/music seller at the local Barnes and Noble. I'm majoring in Political Science, so I try to keep up with current events and be politically-aware. However, I can get really lazy about it too.

I'm a bit shy at first, but I can be very talkative (especially about things I'm passionate about) once you get to know me.

First off... If you are affraid of the dark, go away. Second.... If i view your profile, i was curious. If i send you a message, then your profile stood out more than the average. The message will probably be something about you that i like, but that does not mean i am trying to start something, I just like voicing my opion to cool people. Now on to me I guess....

I am who I am. Lets see, Scorpio, Pagan, Irish... importance in that order. Other than that, i would like to think i'm fairly complicated, but i know better, even if everybody else doesn't. I am not looking for a long term deep relationship, i have had those and I don't believe they work. Maybe i've seen too much, or maybe not enough, i don't know anymore.

I have spent years watching people. On one hand, some would classify me as a stalker, or just curious as the case may be. This study has granted me the gift of figuring people out fairly quickly and accurately, but has left me rather cynical. In this day and age, it seems to be hard to find faithfulness, though a part of me clings to the idea that i'm just looking in the wrong places. Cest la Vie.

On a side note, some people tend to be like their Zodiac sign, where others are not. I am a scorpio and my personality pretty much follows what they say about scorps. If you want to learn alittle about me, look up scopio personalities, and pay attention to the bad parts. It's a good starting place.
