Kehoe-France School Reviews

My son has attended Kehoe for 4 years. It's been a wonderful experience for him. It was a difficult transition at first, but he's developed excellent study habits and organizational skills. They have a great academic program, but encourage students to be well rounded and participate in sports/music/clubs. We've had good experiences with the teachers and staff. The parent support is phenomenal; it's like an extended family environment for our kids.

I am in currently in the 7th grade at Kehoe-France and I have been there since I was 2 years old. The school is very, very structured and will push you above and beyond. Not that this is a bad thing, but sometimes it can get a bit ridicoulous because of some of the expectations they have. Although, if you pay attention and take school seriously it won't be a problem. You can tell that some of the teachers don't want to be there and that some are happy to be there teaching you, which most of them are. Yes, there are teachers that most of the students dislike, as you will have in any school, and there are teachers that will leave an everlasting impression on you forever. The extracurricular activities are great and there are a ton! Some grades are harder than others. You just have to be prepared!

Excellent academic school with a caring, nurturing environment. The owner and his four sons know each of the 600 plus students by name. Family values are stressed and the academic courses for each grade level are one year accelerated. Your child will graduate with both a strong academic background and a character you can be most proud of!

Overall a nice school, but the atmosphere is strict. It is a serious school. Our experience is limited though to one teacher.

My child was at Kehoe-France for 4 years, and overall had a positive, growing experience there, and a very good education. The discipline at Kehoe is a plus for the school - They do not put up with much, and all schools should take this stance. They also teach the children good manners and respect and demand that. The downsides of the school which unfortunately overpower all the positives is that they push the children way too hard, and do not allow them to have a home life after school since they are doing homework constantly. Also, the parents' concerns are not taken into consideration, even though they are ultimately the ones who are keeping the school in operation by paying the exorbitant tuition fees.(another downside). The Kehoe staff in general has no respect and a closed ear to the parents.

My daughter just graduated from the 8th grade at Kehoe Southshore and have two boys remaining. She is going to her high school with all honor classes and the desire to do her best at whatever she does. I cannot say enough about how this school develops a well rounded child with a desire for excellence. The France family loves and cares for all of these children.

I wish that we'd had the experience of the other parents on this list. Our child's time at Kehoe-France was anything but positive and his self confidence was severely damaged before we made the decision to move him. Kehoe claims that it's curriculum is advanced and strongly encourages holding children back. I have yet to read any research which supports this. We did not do so and our child has excelled in his new school.

Great school! Great staff that loves what they do. (they know parents and kids by name!) Parent involvement is phenominal. Offers extracurricular activities such as sports, music, and several clubs. Campus looks like a summer camp. (day camp available during summer) Lifts kids' self esteems by helping them achieve greatness! I was very pleased with this school.

Excellent academics, less than friendly office staff, very good environment for a child, park like school grounds, individual attention adequate.

My son has done a complete turnaround at this school. He is ahead for his age group yet, the homework is not over done. He is enjoying learning. I find he has a higher self esteem and his attention span is getting better even though he has A.D.D. Great school!
