Walter G. Schneckenburger Elementary School Reviews

Schneckenburger Elementary is a Wonderful School, the teachers and staff know your children and where they are at all times. The teachers update their curriculum often and keep learning interesting for the children. My 2 daughters attend schneckenburger and will do anything to keep them there though we dont live in the district. Its like a small school atmosphere with all the technology and knowledge of the big city.

Excellent principal participation she knows everything that goes on. Excellent prekindergarten program. Excellent teachers. My sons teacher won teacher of the year.

My son is in K now and has special ed. assistance. I can't say how impressed I've been with the special ed. teachers and program. He stared in the special pre-k 3 through early steps. My older childred have always attended private schools, but they couldn't give him what he needed. Well I've changed my mind about public schools and he gets his 'religion' at sunday school on Sundays!

I love Schneckenburger Elementary. My son started this school in Pre K and he is now in the 5th grade. The entire faculty has been wonderful, the have always listened to me & any concerns have always been addressed. I have always been involved in the school and I think that has helped my son do as well as he has. Being involved in your child's school , listening to them, and asking questions definately makes a diffrence and that is why I have been happy with this school.

My daughter in kinder at Schneckenburger and I feel there is little supervision, the teacher is forgetful and irresponsible, overall I think this school is no good and will not send my daughter here next year.

They have passed my step-daughter to 3rd grade and she can't read above the first grade! We have just rec'd custody and had her tested - the teacher never called her mom (or us) and we didn't know anything ! Thank God we have her now and can get her help!

Well the saying, 'You do not know how good you got it until it is gone.' I am a former parent of three children who attended Schneckenburger. I now live in California and my children attend one of the best public schools in the state. Yes,they are getting a good education. But, they got their foundation at Schneckenburger. My youngest never attended Sch. because he was to young when we moved away. My 2nd to oldest attended a California High School for two years and received a full scholarship to UNO back home in New Orleans. I attribute his good fortune to his schooling at Sch. and Adams Middle School.I still keep up with Sch. and hope to move back someday. We still own our home in Driftwood Subdivision. It is a great school with dedicated teachers and staff. My children had wonderful learning experiences there.

I was a former student and now have two children in the school. Being in this school district for elementary school was a part of our decision to buy a house in the neighborhood. I have been very happy with the school, the teacher's efforts and obvious signs that they really care and want my kids to do better.

I Love this school my son has been presented since Kindergarden and I have another one that's going to attend. The teachers are very cooperative and if there is a problem they will help you solve it and if they can't to go to other means to satisfy you. Keep up the good work.

As a past student of walter schneckenburger and as a parent of a present student I have to say that I love the school. The principal was recently named the jefferson parish principal of the year. And has the best intrest of the children and the staff.

I have never had any problems with the school of the staff. They have been wonderful. They really showed how they care about the students when my husband died. They were and still are there for my son when he has bad days. More so during the holidays. I'm not in that school district, but I get a permit to keep him there. I wouldn't send him to any other school.

This has to be one of the most incompetent schools I've ever encountered. They are neglectful with the students' well-being, do not keep the parents informed, and fail to file accident reports when a student is injured. Very disappointing. This is the reason people mortgage their homes to send their children to private schools.
