Hahnville High School Reviews

Hahnville High School is a great school. The teachers are so helpful and the students are so respectful.I Think they deserve something special.Love Asia of Edgard.

Hahnville does have a tendancy of leaving the troubled ones behind, and mostly only pays attention to the ones who are doing good. Not only that, but Hahnville High School does have a large majority of 'wild' students. But overall, the teachers are really caring, and take pride of their job from what I know.Hahnville also has a good team of sportsman ship and school spirit. So basically,Hahnville is an 'Okay' school.

I moved to St. Charles Parish because I heard that Hahnville was such a good school. They should call this school Hahnville High Prison. And if you have a problem with something, too bad. They will pretend to listen, but what you believe doesn't matter to them. The parents will always be wrong. My daughter is graduating this year thank god. I will go back to Private School with the rest of my children. That is where I should have stayed anyway.

I find HHS has different objects than a high school should have. I like other parents feel they leave the children that struggle with learning behind unless the student is in the sports programs. I have a honor student and a child that struggles with learning. for the honor student, they do all they can to help her. the student that struggles, it seems like that just want him out. it is difficult to get the classes needed unless you're a honor student. I can see the need to make sure they have the college requirements but they also need to make learning available and not a struggle for the less gifted students. they also seem to have a problem with fair discipline. two children can do the fraction but they will get different consequences. they really need to stand by their student code of conduct.

The teachers are great, but the subjects are hard.

This school looks at its more 'gifted' students as there golden goose. They do not pay attention to Mediocre, Special Needs, or Misfits. If your are on the A-B list they pay attention and help you get farther, the others are just left in the dust. My son enjoyed football and the excellent band program. Unfortunaly, the academics, are where Hahnville falls way short.

My reason for moving to St. Charles Parish was mainly because of the school system. My oldest son graduated from this school in 2002 and I currently have a daughter enrolled as a freshman. The quality of education that he received and that she is receiving is excellent.

As a parent of two graduates and a current junior, I feel Hahnville is very supportive of their gifted students-- both academically and athletically; however; children of lesser abilities often fall through the cracks. I have chidren at both extremes, and I really have to get after the faculty to not forget the less abled child. She was put in the same class twice, overlooked for an important college prep test, and not put in needed classes for college because there wasn't enough room--priority was given to the A & B students. Hahnville is very good about not hiding its light under a basket-- unfortunately, it does hide some of it's students.
