“My name is Dominique Simmons and I attended Albert Cammon middle school through 6-7 grade. I will return for 3rd quater during my 8th grade year. Cammon is an excellent school. The classes are always influencing you to do the correct thing. Thier discipline is handled in an appropiate manner. Thier academic excellence is like none other school. That's exactly why I'm returning. No other school has as much excellence asa Albert Cammon.”

“The academic programs are some of the best around considering some kids just don't want to learn. The advanced classes offered are very well taught. The eighth grade team helps your child prepare for high school. The school counselor wants students to succeed and goes far beyond her reach to help your child. This school is making a turn around from years past but still has some way to go before it can be as good as others in the parish.”

“From at parents point of view you would think that this school is the worst school ever. Now i will not agree with the parents on that. I don't think it is the teachers fault , there are teachers that are the way you say they are. But the rest want our kids to get the best education they can get. You may think the school is bad because some of these kids are mean. Some of the things they might say to your child will hurt and end up in a fight. But the negaitve stuff that is going around about this school is false . My child is currently enrolled in this school , and she loves it. Ever scince she swited to a public school in forth grade her grades have been great. She has been on hoonr roll every year. So Albert Cammon is a good school.”

“For a public school, I think that the school is heading the right direction...many seem to want to throw everything at the school, however children must be taught at home as well, considering that, the faculty and staff there are doing a well enough job under the circumstances. Stop the negativity and focus on the positive.”

“I think that this school is the worst in the parish. The school's food menu is horrible. The food served on Monday is the same food served on Wednesday. Children in Chorus are in a hurry to get out of the class. The in-school detention room is full of children everyday. None of the children have disipline. The answer to every problem at the school is to suspend the children involved. The teachers at the school are worried more about dress code violations than LEAP scores. The eighth grade teachers were worried more about my son's braids than his grades. The PTA has fallen apart. The president of the PTA quit and a teacher had to take over as the president.”

“I have 2 children that go to this school. It has been one of the worst moves I have made for their education. There is conflict at this school that I feel greatly decreases the learning potential of students and there is little or no conflict resolution. But overall I am dissatisfied with my and my childrens experience at this school.”

“My 13 year old went to this school, and it was the worst thing I could have done for her education. I think if you are going to live in St. Charles Parish, there are other schools in the area I would send my children to. The principal has no leadership, if you have a complaint about anything don't expect anything to be resolved!”
